Difference? It is 1.c compatible again. None difference for UP and FE.

Seems like the 4.42b zip is broken, yes :(

The problem affects all attached files on aiscr, I think. I compared the cham rar with my local archive and found that all instances of the "carriage return" CR 0x0D character were removed from the file. I checked all 3 Crusade files and they, too, had no 0x0D characters in them. Maybe a batch find/replace occurred that looked for 0x0D and replaced it with nothing, and the operation was allowed to affect not only text files, but attached files, as well?

I think the attached downloads may need to be restored from backup. The issue doesn't seem to affect newly uploaded files, so I think it was probably caused by a prior one-time action on the server's files. Sorry for the trouble, Berrys!

Yeah, all the miniman uploads were broken too :( good thing I had the file still
Time to learn all the new things is too much so probably not scripting

I've uploaded 4.42b again. If you find problems please tell it. :unsure:

I'll start now a new AI called Cruzada. Crusade was a 1.c AI with additions to be more powerful with UP, while Cruzada will be designed for UP and forget about any 1.c compatibility because it makes the work harder when the AI is too big.

It means that I'll only update Crusade if you find something which could be better with just a really tiny change. Or if you find a serious compatibility problem, etc. B)

After years of finding this AI to be broken I found a fix for its startup crash.

In the Crusade folder there is a file called 'resign - AI Ladder.per'.

Move that into the Ai folder instead.

That's it. Works for me now.

(I'm referring to version 4.6 and it still only plays 23 civs, of course).
A.K.A. TOAO_Philosopher (formely TOAO_ReLeNtLeSsS, TOAO_Leo, TOAO_Ayubu_, TOAO_FSpirit, _TOAO_HussY_ and TOAO__HussaR_ (even before that, Deadly_Hussar— and DEADLY POISON on AOKH back when I was REALLY young)).
