What were the results after the playoffs in 2v2 ?

I just ask, because you list the results as if they were important, so it may be also interstng to know what the final results in 2v2 were (however they were played out - how were they played out, btw ? I forgot it already :))

i just know that my Ai was suddenly on top, and Caesar did not need to play vs Dave anymore, because he has defeated him in the Round before ..

or something ...

btw, we should really repeat the playoffs with the Ai's of the Tournament - each of the 16 Point scored AI's should again play versus each other -

somthing like this i wanted to see all the Time - :)

i really would recommend to replay the play-off - if after the tournament the AI are set as equal -

in the playoff my AI battled vs FearMe and after that no more Games were run - i never felt that this is a good Way, but if this result is now ignored even by the Tournament Management i don`t think it makes much sense -

so i assume that the 2v2 Tournament was never completed ?

meanwhile in 2v2 games, IronDynasty Huns defeats Fear Me Huns 8-0

an early coordinated attack seems to break Fear Me's style, and after much battling, IronDynasty claims a win. First Game ends in just under 1 hr. second game is a huge Battle, where Fear Me is able to throw of the initial attack and fight back, but loses after 2.5 hours. Well done Mabuse.

(...)

Looking over the results, I don't think it is really necessary to run more 2v2 games.

But you could go ahead and run the games of VNS_Caesar vs Fear Me huns for completeness, however the results do not matter.

final standings:
1. IronDynasty
2. VNS_Casear
3. 433 AD
4. Mexico 1.5

The reasons are as follows:
1. If VNS_Caesar Beats Fear ME Huns and gets 8 points, it ties with IronDynasty, and IronDynasty already defeated VNS_Caesar 8-0

2. If VNS_Caesar earns between 1-7 points, it falls in second clearly.

3. if VNS_Caesar scores 0 points, it ties with 433 AD which it has already beaten 8-0

I chose Fear Me huns to break the tie because it was a championship level AI capable of playing the settings decently and I had not previously tested any of the three tied AIs vs Fear Me in a 2v2 situation. Had Fear Me failed to bring about a decisive result, I would have used lather PIDM7 Huns next.

Errr ... Showtime seems to be missing ... Or am I just blind? ;)

As I recall the top three AI's in the 2v2 did all play each other, and no winner could be determined.

Then as a tie break the top three were to play Fear Me Huns. which 433 AD lost, and Iron Dynasty won, which made playing Fear Me vs VNC_Caesar uneccessary as the result would have had no bearing on the outcome, as explained above.

@ Berrys you are blind ;) Showtime is listed under P!

well, well - were anyway great AI`s -

would have loved to see em battling a 2nd Time for TIE - perhaps with different results ?

Maybe . who knows anywy.

btw, the IronDynasty in the Tournamen Pack had a little Bug (which did not affect PIDM, but porbably you tes it on Arabia and think it is very lame - and IMO it is, becasue i cut out the Upgrades-File (to have more RulesSPace - to get sure there is enough Space)

a Bugfixed Version can be found here

http://forums.aiscripters.com/viewtopic.php?t=649

this Version should be able to play "PI" and "non PI" Game (both RM and DM)
