Ulysses[DE version]

New version update. This will probably be the last update I make to this AI, as newer AIs are outcompeting it.

Features:
-Any settings/civs with population 200+ excluding forest nothing and some migration maps (should make a decent attempts at playing modded or added civs as well)
-Wide variety of strategies
-Good team coordination (shared attacks, slingshots etc.)
-0 tile gap building system which is more aesthetic than practical

Ulysses is one of my absolute favorite AIs!!!

The building walls are really cool. It does not complete the wall but just the look of it makes the ai feel more human which is nice

Yeah I think they look nice but don't have much practical use atm (although they help somewhat against TSA AIs). I have an idea of how to make a much better building system using the same ideas, but it would require redesigning the AI from the ground up.

Now that SN boar hunting issues have been resolved in DE, I've uploaded a new version that restores boar hunting back to original behaviour.

Doesn't work, it gives me an error:

Ai Script Error:

ERR5001: File Open Failed: ERR5001: File open failed

Edit: Pasted into a different directory and now it is working.

I get same .per2 error. Exactly what directory should this go into?

This is usually the best folder to place your AIs: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\AoE2DE\resources\_common\ai
