The General 1.0c:
- New and improved countering system, now attempts to counter multiple enemies with a priority to counter the target enemy
- Added ability to switch strategies when countered by the enemy
- More intelligent attacking conditions to take advantage of military or age superiority
- Fixed resign rules (I think)
- Better conditions to build each of the various military buildings
- Better escrow settings
- Better dropsite construction conditions
- No longer retreats on no attack stance with non-cavalry units

Nice! Exited to test this :) How does the difficulties work on DE? Is extremeDE == hardUP like in the DE ladder ai's? (You may also wanna specify this in the original post :) )

General doesn't adapt to difficulty levels yet. I updated the original post to clarify. You can test General on extreme difficulty in DE.

I really enjoy watching your AI, Leif! I especially love the way it mixes in counter units like skirms to strengthen its army.

Will there be a 1.0e update for Dawn of the Dukes? :) this is another one of my favorite AIs :)

Yeah there will be, though it may be a while before I optimize it for those civs. I'll probably release a 1.0e version so that it loads strategies for those civs, but the next few versions after that will only be compatible with a couple civs so that I can fix a few fundamentals before extending the AI back to playing all civs again.

In other news, the updated Aztec eagle warrior rush in version 1.1 that I'll be releasing soon has beaten Barbarian and Promi once each so far. :D They both went for archers which die to eagles, but still, it feels good.

Oooh and that sounds great. You should test your eagle rush against ER DE next, haha.
