Civ Randomizer Spreadsheet

Post by Leif Ericson »

Hi all, here's an updated version of the civ randomizer spreadsheet that was used for the DE tournament. I've updated it to be able to randomize up to eight civs at a time. It's also programmed to avoid duplicating civ picks until all available civs for the AI have been selected at least once, so hopefully this will avoid some of the unfair civ picks that happened during the tournament.

Note 1:

This spreadsheet uses Excel VBA macros, and you'll need to enable the macros after downloading because of Excel's security settings. If you use OpenOffice instead of Excel, you can follow these instructions to enable the macros: https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Docume ... _macros%3F

Note 2:

In the AI list tab there are several random civ options that can be used according to the game version that the AI supports so that you don't have to list out every civ an AI can play:
  • Random - all DE civs, including all DLC expansions
  • DotD - base DE civs plus Lords of the West and Dawn of the Dukes DLC civs
  • LotW - base DE civs plus Lords of the West DLC civs
  • BaseDE - base DE civs only
  • WK - original AoC civs plus HD expansions
  • AoC - original 18 civs

Updated the spreadsheet since some AIs can play more civs now.

Updated the spreadsheet with new AIs and DLCs. There is now an option to specify the number of civs per AI to generate.
