I did a test in a 1v1 game and :
Immortal doesn't research the Siege Elephant upgrade even with over 2000 food
Same thing for the Elite Shrivamsha Rider upgrade

I met a similar problem. The teal player fails to produce millitary units since late Castle Age.

Some more feedback regarding the Indian civs:

Dravs: I don't know if it's because Immortal's melee unit mirco overall seems a bit buggy but, its very noticeable with Dravidians. Even with overwhelming forces their melee groups don't seem to take many engagements. They will constantly pace around, and soak ranged fire. Unit composition is good, but it would be cool to see it train more elephant archers in specific situations even if it's not the meta.

Hindustanis: Criminal lack of camels and gunpowder considering the great bonuses they get. Hoping to see them used more in the future in conjunction with the Ghulam.

Gurjaras: paper mentioned it, but Shrivamsha riders and armored elephants do not train the elite upgrades. Same as Hindi in that they don't train camels which are very strong. It would be great see them take advantage of garrisoning mills.

Bengalis: I haven't gotten to test them much but from what I played they seem fine so far.

General note: I think Immortal would greatly benefit from massing trebuchets more instead of just relying on rams to take down buildings. Their forces can take unnecessary damaging waiting for a trebuchet or rams to take down castles. Their weakest civ so far seems to be the Burgundians.

I also wanted to know if walling and water map play is still being considered for them. Hope this helps and thank you again for this powerful AI. It's very fun and challenging to play against. :head :dance :devil

Update 0.9g is released

compatibility with fen crazy / nomad / land nomad; ally defence; ability to retreat

Also the scout rush is greatly improved.

Changes

- ability to defend allies
- retarget trade carts to corner markets
- new farming system (better at accounting for hunt/forage)
- DUC villager scouting (when no scout)
- new enemy player identification system (guess location, flank/pocket, etc)
- more scout->castle strategies
- super tree/forage detection for FCT + camp adjustments
- drush/scouts ignore far attacking villagers
- drush/scouts more likely to finish off low hp vill
- drush/scouts will always attack
- drush will properly avoid archers
- avoids bad fights and run around enemy base instead (intended for scrush)
- ability to block retreating villagers (intended for rush)
- ability to place TC for nomad
- ability to place LC for land nomad
- will add villagers to W when not enough for houses
- ability to switch enemy player based on local info
- local enemy avoidance for all groups (attack and defence)
- ability to reinforce with local groups
- defensive groups no longer lured forever by enemy units
- defensive groups will avoid enemy fortifications
- groups will move towards predicted location of any enemy when not yet found
- FIXED BUG: unable to detect trade carts
- FIXED BUG: unable to detect fortified wall arena start
- FIXED BUG: sheep scouts not working on DE
- FIXED BUG: sheep scouts not working on nomad
- FIXED BUG: DUC scouts not working on nomad
- FIXED BUG: shepherds broken when TCs too close together
- FIXED BUG: groups wouldn't move near camps while circling enemy tc
- FIXED BUG: with archer micro priority
- FIXED DE BUG: where boar will never be targetted
- FIXED DE BUG: where deer will never be targetted

I saw this once but have not been able to reproduce it unfortunately.

I have added the other bugs mentioned above to my todo list. Could be a couple of weeks before I get around to it.

just ran an Arabia DE game and didn't see any sheep scouting; are there cases where that is not used?
