Robin

Post by Bandit1990 »

My third AI and the third member of Bandit's Bandits in DC7.

Map Type - Any land
Civ - Any AoC, no expansions (though Spanish will be terrible - will add all civs eventually)
Pop - 200
Difficulty - Any/No Difference
Game Type - Standard/Conquest

What does it do?

Feudal archers then add scorpions + mangonels in later ages. I loved doing this at first because all the units just required wood and gold so the eco was easy to manage and required less farms than usual. It has been updated with deer luring and some small edits to eco but it is otherwise the same. It will also mix in skirmishers to keep the numbers up if gold is lacking. If you are a casual player looking to prepare for feudal rushes then this is a good start - it will produce archers early but won't outright beat you if you are unprepared as they don't avoid TC fire. It's between HD AI standard and moderate difficulty.

Two versions:

DE Version (please use for DC7)
The HD version I updated it from.

New update:
- Attacks sooner (like the HD version did)
- Now sends all units when attacking
- Added basic TC avoidance (tower avoidance to be added)
- Now builds towers as it had the resources and never used them
- Delayed blacksmith until first archery range is built, this allows for earlier attack without missing fletching
- Attacking units will retreat to forward towers, avoiding TC and protecting towers from villagers
- Added DUC boar luring as the basic command was failing too often
- In team games Robin now attacks the nearest enemy rather than the lowest scoring enemy (whilst the mix was good for human play, it's not so good for DC7 - if you want to change this back then just set goal 49 to 2 instead of 1, this is found on line 58)
